Nothing like a Challenge...

There is nothing like a good challenge to get the creative juices flowing. After a complete re-vamp of my craft room it was nice to sit down and actually create!

I saw a challenge on the Scrapbook Paradise blog and decided to give it a try. I don’t usually make tags, but it was nice to try something different.

With all of the big changes coming in my life I hope that I can continue to squeeze in some creative time!!

4 Years Ago Today…

In front of our family and friends the Hot Hubby and said I Do! I can't believe it has been 4 years already. It seems just like yesterday I was looking down the aisle at my husband to be.

I haven't started our wedding album yet. The whole idea scares me ;) I have done a couple of pages with our wedding pictures including the layout below which I put in our 2006 album.

I heart Studio Calico

After drooling over the kits forever, I finally broke down and ordered their kits. When the I received the box on my door step I was so excited. I haven’t had that much time to play with it yet, but here are the first two pages that I made using some of the Back 40 Kit. I can’t wait for the next box to show up on my door step!

The first page shows the pictures that the hot hubby and I had taken to celebrate our 1st anniversary (our 4th anniversary is tomorrow!).

This page shows the “adventure” I had babysitting my nephew. After reading Wacky Wednesday we both got a little wacky ;)

I Need a Vacation!!

Around this time ever year I start getting the vacation itch. The Hot Hubby and I have been lucky enough to get away for a week the last two winters and I really hope we can sneak off again this year.

In December 2008 we celebrated my parents 30th wedding anniversary in Punta Cana. We celebrated Christmas at the resort, and let me tell you I didn’t miss the snow at all!

Falling Back into Creativity…

The air around here already has the fall crispness in it, which means it is time to start scrapbooking again. It seems like the summer sucks all of the creativity out of me.

To get the dust off of this blog I am going to post some pages that I completed in the spring.

This page is one that I completed at the National Scrapbook Day Crop at Urban Scrapbook. We were given a kit and asked to create anything with the contents. I was lucky enough to be chosen as the winner and came home with a brand new Slice Machine :) This is definitely one of my favourites.

Back to Reality…

After three months of long days of work and chaos as home, due to the long hours at work, things have finally started to slow down. I have even had time to upload some the cards and layouts I managed to get done in the last little while to my computer.

Speaking of chaos, my craft room is a disaster! The only time I have spent in there the last few months is to throw together some cards, after which I never cleaned up. The room desperately needs some reorganization. I really struggle with organizing this room and it seems like I clean more in there than I “play”. My goal over the next few weeks is to make it more functional for me. Wish me luck…

Challenge Pages

Last Friday I was able to attend a crop at a local scrapbook store with a friend of mine. Since my creativity seems to be still recovering from my vacation I did a few more pages for the Jump Start January Scraplift Challenge.

This is my lift of Sweet Life. This one of my favourite engagement pictures of the hot hubby and me.
Then I did a couple more pages for my 2007 album. I can't help, I have to do my pages in chronological order. That being said, my next big project is an album about my trip to Vegas earlier this month. It will be such a treat to scrapbook new pictures!

Jump Start January

After spending most of November and December working on Christmas gifts and wedding stuff for my sister I have finally been able to start working on my albums again. It was nice to clean off my table and get creative again.

To help me get back in the groove I am joing the Jump Start January Scraplift Challenge at Two Peas. So far I have manafed to complete three layouts from the challenge and hope to do a few more this week.

This is a lift of Lisafisa's Thankful layout. The picture in the layout is from the Hot Hubby and mine's 3rd Anniversary photoshoot.

This layout is a lift of Kelly Goree's Best Santa layout. These pictures are from nephew's 4th birthday. He just turned 7 last week, so as you can see, I have lots of catching up to do.

This layout is my take on Nicole Martel's Close layout. This is are recap and the last page for my 2006 album!! Hopefully I will have more layouts to share soon!!

Finally Summer!!

The sun has finally come and we have been enjoying some hot summer days! The hot hubby and I are heading to the lake for the next two weekends, so hopefully the heat wave continues. The only down side to the hot weather it the heat in house. My craft room is on the second floor of the house and by in the afternoon/ evening it is cooking. Rather than playing in there, I have been avoiding it. I think I may have to take over a corner of the man floor (aka the basement) until things cool off.

A couple weeks ago I went to a local LSS and scrapbooked with a friend of mine. Here are a few of the layouts I did in the comfort of the air conditioned store.

I just noticed that the bottom of this one got cut off. There should be a blue strip at the very bottom, oh well...

Another Scrappin’ Weekend

I spent another weekend scrapbooking. This time Nadine made the long trek from Saskatchewan to spend the weekend in my craft room. I only managed to get 15 pages done, but we did make a few shopping trips and I had to cook a few meals (okay, only two, but still).

I haven’t scanned any of the pages I made last weekend, but here are a few that I made on the retreat.

3 nights, 4 days, 11 fabulous ladies & 34 pages....

A couple weekends ago I went on a scrapbooking retreat with some of my friends. I had an awesome time and manage to complete 34 pages while I was there. I finally finished 2005 and am almost up to date with this year. It is so nice to get away from the everyday distractions and focus on creating. I can't wait until the next retreat in September!

Busy, Busy, Sick, Busy...

The last month has been crazy!! I have been travelling quite a bit for work and then right smack in the middle of the craziest week, I got the flu. I haven’t had the flu since I was a little kid. Without going into the nasty details, I will just say losing 5 pounds in one day isn’t as exciting as it sounds ;)

On a happier note, I won a challenge on the Scrap n’ Supply Shack blog and received lots of American Craft goodies!! Here is a look at what Shannen sent me (Thanks Shannen!!)

I did manage to get a few layouts done over that last month. I am just about finished my 2005 album. I am so sick of scrapbooking “old” pictures so I think I am going to start my 2009 album before I start catching up on 2006.

What I’ve been up to…

I have been super busy that last week or so and have hardly had any time to scrapbook. I did however, do lots of crafting!! I hosted a very good friend of mine’s baby shower at my house on Sunday. It was lots of work, but definitely well worth it. Here are some pictures the decorations/favor/cards that I made for the party.

Giving it Another Shot…

Done Like Disney

Finally, after only a year and half, I have finished my Disney album! It feels so good to have it all done. It is by far the largest album I have ever completed. I am not going to lie, I gave myself a big pat on the back after I slid the last page into its protector. Two Years Ago Today...

...I married my best friend!!

I can't believe that it has already been two years. Some days it feels like yesterday, while others I can't remember what it was like before we were husband and wife.

To celebrate our anniversary and help make our third year of marriage the best yet, I have come up with a little project. Everyday, whether we are together or not, I will tell my husband one thing I love about him. It may seem trivial, but sometimes I take advantage of what I have. Sometimes I dwell on the negative instead of focusing on positive. Sometimes I do not realize what a great thing I have. I love him very much, I just forget to show him that sometimes. So, whether it be in a note, in a text or in a heartfelt conversation I will make a point to tell him one thing, big or little, that I love about him. Of course, I will keep track of everything and on our next anniversary I will put everything into a mini album. I will keep you posted on my progress!

I know I have been the worst blogger EVER, but I hope to change that in the coming weeks. I have lots of great ideas, I just need to execute them. I do have lots of new pages to share, I will scan/photograph them this week.

AMR Survivor

There is a survivor challenge going on right now on the AMR boards. This week it was a music challenge. I chose to do a page about my wedding song. This is a picture of the Hot Hubby and I dancing our first dance as a married couple. Our song was I Can Love You by Gary Allan. I printed the lyrics on a transparency and layered it on top of the photo. Our wedding colours were pink and brown, so I thought it was fitting to use those colours on the page.

There are some wonderful entries into this competition, so it if you have a second head over to the boards and vote for your favorite one. The voting isover now. I didn't mnake the second round, but I really enjoyed creating this page.

So This Is Spring!?!?!?

When I woke up this morning, this is what I saw out my window!!

It was crazy!! It was total white-out conditions at one point in time. Gotta love spring in Alberta ;) At least the snow has stopped now and it is starting to warm up. Thank goodness we didn’t take my winter tires off yet! And to think a local golf course opened up yesterday. I don’t think too many people will be teeing of today ;)

Things have been so busy lately I have hardly had anytime to scrapbook. There is an online crop tonight on the AMR boards. I am going to try and do a couple of the challenges, but I think the hot hubby and I are going out for dinner, so I will have to wait and see. I am itching to get some pages done so hopefully I can join in the fun a bit!

Cards!!

I have this great file folder that I have labelled and divided into months. The plan was to pre-make cards and put them in them into the appropriate sections. This would remedy my constant panic card making a half hour before an event. That was the plan anyways. After having this folder for a couple of years now I finally pre-made a few cards this week. It is so much easier to do them in batches. It goes way faster, and I only have to clean up once (yes Michelle, I cleaned up when I was done)!

It’s All About Love!!

The one thing about February is that is full of love!! I subscribed to the AMR’s monthly kit, and this month was fabulous. Heather did such a wonderful job selecting everything, all of her hard work definitely showed! It was full of reds and pinks and all things love. I was so excited to rip my package open and play with all of my new goodies. To start with I finished half of the February challenge over on the AMR board.

Of course, it is of my hot hubby!! He has this look he always gives me. No matter what mood I am in, it always makes me smile. Even though he drives me crazy sometimes, I love that boy more than anything.

I had to go with Diet Pepsi. I usually have one a day. It’s just like people and their coffee (which I could really give or take), if I don’t have one a day I start to feel cranky. I am know its not good for me, but I love that stuff!!

Where Does the Time Go!?!?

Wow, I can’t believe how long it has been since I posted (so much for my unofficial resolution). Things have been super busy around here, which seems to becoming the norm. I have managed to scrapbook a bit, but nearly as much as would like.

I decided to try and re-organize me craft room. I went through all of my paper and embellishments and purged!! I can’t believe all of the stuff I got rid of. I am passing everything on to my friends and whatever they do not want I am going to donate. It was kind of depressing thinking of all of the money that I spent on everything, but it felt even better to downsize my collection.

The room isn’t perfect yet, but as the Hot-Hubby says, at least I can see floor ;)

One thing I did finish this last little while was my sister’s album!! Here are the last pages that I did. The paper I used was from my first kit from All Moments Remembered. Heather did such a fab job selecting everything in the kit. I love it, and can’t wait to play more.

I am off to clean off my table and hopefully get some more pages done!!

It's All About the Hot-Hubby!

Sadly, I have no new layouts to show. I spent a bit of time cleaning my craft room, but that is as far as I got. The room needs a total overhaul, and I am just working up the courage to dive in.

On a more productive note, I went to the gym yesterday morning and then baked up a storm in the afternoon. I made Banana Bread, Banana Bran Muffins and Oatmeal cookies. The Hot-Hubby was pretty excited, he loves when I bake, but I haven’t had time to do any in awhile.

Speaking of the hot hubby, I saw this on another blog and thought it looked fun. I always talk about the Hot-Hubby, but I thought I would share some more about him/us!

What’s his name? Kenneth (but I only call him that when he is making me mad!!)

How long have you been together? 5 years (we actually started dating Valentine’s Day of 03’)

How long did you date? 3 ½ years (plus a month, way back in the day, but that is a story for another day)

How old is he? 28

Who eats more? Him, it’s not even a contest.

Who said I love you first? Him, he let it slip when we were stranded in Athabasca for two days.

Who is taller? Him, but really, who isn’t taller than me ;)

Who is smarter? Hmmm, I would say I am more “book” smart, but he is definitely more “Handy” smart. It is absolutely amazing what he can make out of some hunks of metal, he can fix almost anything, his knowledge of motorized (gas or battery operated) is incredible. Though I would say it’s a tie in the math department, we are both good with numbers.

Who does laundry? Both of us!! He does his and I do mine. Towels and what not are split about 50/50.

Who does the dishes? Both of us. Ken loads and empties the dishwasher more than me, but refuses to do any hand washing, so I get to do all of that.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are standing at the foot of the bed facing the headboard, I am on the right side.

Who pays the bills? Me, what can I say, I am the daughter of an accountant.

Who mows the lawn? Him, and I have never and never will offer to help either. I am allergic to grass and hate the smell that occurs during the mowing.

Who cooks dinner? Me, 95% of the time, though Ken does make a mean Grill Cheese Sandwich.

Who drives when you are together? Him, almost all the time.

Who is more stubborn? We are both stubborn, but Ken takes the title hands down. He is the most stubborn person I know.

Who kissed who first? Wow, that seems like forever ago. He kissed me.

Who asked out who first? Him, I gave him my number at a bar (I know how romantic) and he called me and asked me out.

Who proposed? Him. Poor guy was so stressed!

Who has more siblings? We have the same. He has one brother and I have one sister.

Who wears the pants in the family? I would say me and he would say him, so I guess we both do!

I haven’t updated in awhile because I don’t really have anything to share. I haven't stepped foot in my craft room for a week. I was going to play in there tonight, but I am just not in the mood. Hopefully, my mojo will come back to me soon!!

Last week was my nephew’s birthday and the hot-hubby and I went to his birthday party. He loved the present the Ken picked out for him. It was a mini skate ramp and boarder (just like Uncle Kenny!).

I may not be creating a lot these days, but I am sure reading a lot. In the past week I have read The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I loved both of them!! I read A Thousand Splendid Suns in two days, so you know it was great, I could barely put it down. I am going to start reading The Memory Keeper’s Daughter next, but after than I have no books. Does anyone have any suggestions??

New Pages!!

I was able to spend a few hours in my scrapbook room yesterday and it was fabulous!! The hot-hubby had to work, so I decided to play!! I started an album for my sister for Christmas. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and did not finish it. I gave her what I had done already and promised to give her all the other pages once I was finished. She absolutely loved it, which gave me lots of motivation. All of the pictures are of her and her friends are from my wedding. They are a great bunch of ladies, and I have known them for many, many years now. Here is a picture of my sister and me, my only sibling, followed by the pages I made yesterday.

Today I am cleaning out our computer room. As soon as we moved in it became the catch all room. It has been driving me crazy for a while, so I decided to tackle it today. One room at a time, I will get this place organized!!

Welcome to 2008!!

Happy New Year Everyone!! Hot-hubby and I had a very quiet New Years Eve. We spent the evening alone, ordered a pizza, watched a movie and then the fire works on the TV. Well, actually we can see the high, large fireworks from our house. It was probably the last time we will see them from our house though. Once they build the houses behind us I think we will lose our view. Here are a couple pictures from the evening.

I am not usually one to set New Year resolutions, but this year I decided to write down my goals for the year.

Take better care of myself
Lose 35 lbs. Two years ago I lost 50lbs, but I have since gained 10 back. It is time for me to get serious and lose the final pounds.

Exercise more! I used to go to the gym, but the last few months have been lacking any kind of exercise. I need to get my butt moving!!

Eat healthier. I have started to eat fast food and potato chips again!! They are my vice. I could never eat another chocolate again and be fine with it. Take away my salty snacks and I would be devastated. I am not going to cut these treats out for good, but they are going to become rare treats.

Take more pride in my appearance. I rarely wear make-up or dress “nice”, yet I feel so much better about myself when I do. It is amazing how good a little cover-up and blush can make you feel.

Be Creative
I need to take more time and scrapbook. It is a hobby that makes me so happy, yet I rarely make time to do it. It is time to start!!

Finish all of the projects I started this past year. I am tired of seeing half finished albums and pages of notes of things I want to do.

Try some new things. I love the altered items and mini-books that I see other people making. I have the supplies, it is time I use them.

Convince myself that it doesn’t have to be perfect!! I will not let myself stress about every page.

Get Organized
I am very disorganized right now and feel out of control. I like things neat and orderly, but have let things get out of control.

Take the extra time and put everything away in its home. I am infamous for having piles of crap around just waiting to be carried up a flight of stairs and put away.

Purge the craft room. I have way to much stuff that I am never going to use. It is time for me to sort it all out and donate the stuff I no longer need. I am lucky enough to have a room for my hobby, it is time I used it to it’s full potential!

Wow, I feel better just getting all of this in writing! I will keep you updated on my progress. I have a feeling that 2008 is going to be a great year!!

Wow, I can’t believe that it has been so long since I posted!! With work and Christmas things got pretty crazy around here. I think it is a bit funny that the day I finally have time to post is the first one in awhile that it is snowing!!

I am making updating my blog an unofficial New Years Resolution, so I hope you will be hearing lots from me in the future!!

Hopefully, I will be spending most of my day there today! I am trying not to notice my Honey-Do list that the hot hubby left me before he went to work today ;)

Will it Ever Stop Snowing?!?!

Ick, we are definitely getting all the snow we missed in October/November this week. Every time they say that the snow is going to stop, the little flakes start falling again. The roads are slick and people are starting to drive like idiots. I took me twice as long to get home after work yesterday because of a three car collision!! People were driving on the shoulders trying to get by faster. My drive in this morning was uneventful, but traffic is pretty thin at 6:30am. It is just one of the reasons I like starting work early (my earned Fridays off is another!).

Here is another layout that finished recently. When Ken and I started dating my motherly instincts hadn’t kicked in at all and I didn’t really want children. As I get older, and depending on the day, I am starting to feel a little a differently. My husband is wonderful with children and I know that he will make an awesome father. But for right now, we are not ready for children. Financially and emotionally we are just too selfish. We are still young and just taking this time to enjoy each other. I can’t predict the future and don’t know how either of us will feel in a couple of years. What I do know is that I love my husband and for right now we are a family, just the two of us!!

Yes, this is another picture from our photoshoot with Heather! What can I say, I just love these pictures. I am going to make my sister a mini book for Christmas, and then it is back to my Disney album. So, I will take a little break from these pictures, but I am not making any promises that you won’t see more!

Global Perspectives Challenge

Here is a layout I did for the Global Perspectives challenge. I find it hard to scrap about me sometimes so this was a good challenge for me to do. It’s nice to have another layout to go into my almost empty All About Me album.

Things have been pretty busy around here still, but I have been squeezing in some scrapbooking time here and there. I am working on a couple of mini albums for people for Christmas and time is already getting tight. I am starting to get pumped for Christmas though, and hope to put our Christmas tree up tonight!

Winter is Here to Stay!

Brrrr!!! It is snowing again, ICK!! I have to drive about 2 ½ hours north to Athabasca tomorrow, so I really hope that it stops soon! I know everyone with snowmobiles is excited (Michelle), but I just don’t feel the love for the snow. I would have been just fine with a brown Christmas.

On a happier note, the furnace at work has been fixed and the office is a balmy 220C this morning. It didn’t get fixed until late yesterday afternoon, so everyone ended up wearing their winter coats all day. We had space heaters all over the place! I tried whining to my husband about how cold it was, but it turns out the guy who works right beside the bay doors (that were open all day yesterday for deliveries) in an already cold machine shop has no sympathy!

Speaking of the hubby, I did a layout all about him for the Thankful challenge at ScrapMojo challenge. I just love this picture of him and had a great time creating this layout!! (I have now fixed the spelling mistake, I guess my brain took the weekend off!)

I managed to get quite a few pages done this weekend (well lots for me, not lots in Heather standards). I scrapbooked all day Saturday with Michelle, Heather and Michelle’s friend Kim at the Urban Scrapbook. We had a blast!! I spent a little more than I had planned, but what do you expect when you spend the day surrounded by all those goodies!

Here is one of the pages that I did on Saturday. It is for the Unpubbed challenge. I have so many great pictures from our photoshoot with Heather that it was nice to showcase a bunch of them on one page.

On Sunday Ken and I decided to check out the new mega, super, ridiculously large Wal-Mart. We thought it might be a little less busy because the Grey Cup was on, but we were WRONG!! I think it is safe to say that we will never go back to the new mega, super, ridiculously large Wal-Mart. To make us feel better after the Wal-Mart fiasco we decided to go out for dinner. It was fabulous, we even splurged and had dessert!!

Too bad the awesome weekend was spoiled by the snow and freezing cold I woke up to this morning. Brrrr!! The furnace in the office must be shocked too, because it is freezing! I am sitting at my desk wearing my winter coat, and I am very tempted to but my hood on ;) I hate winter (sorry Michelle), it makes me want to crawl into bed with tons of blankets and hibernate!

On that note, I should get back to work!! Have a gooder!!

I am out of town right now for work, but I thought I would update since I had some spare time. I haven't had too much time to be crafty lately, but I have made some Christmas cards already. I will try and post pictures when I am back in the City. I plan on doing a lot of scrapbooking this weekend, and I can't wait!!

I am writing this on a tablet PC, so it is very hard to write this. Here is a picture of so you know what I am talking about.

Wacky Wednesday

Well, things have been pretty busy around here. I did get to scrapbook a bit this weekend, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. I have all of these ideas floating around in my head, but it seems like I can never find the time to create them.

On Friday night I finally finished my lift of Heather’s Unpubbed layout, unfortunately, I did not get it in in time for the contest, but I least I got it done.

And, I will have you notice that it is a Disney layout!! I finished three Disney layouts on the weekend. I might actually get this album done in the near future. Here are the other two. For some reason my scanner does not like me right now so they may look a little wonky. I promise, in real life every thing is straight.

I was going to scrapbook on Sunday night, but instead I did this.

It was my first official babysitting gig as an Aunt. And as you can see we had no fun what so ever! Who knew reading Wacky Wednesday would cause us to go so wacky!

This week is gearing up to be pretty hectic. I won’t even start to whine about my winter tire fiasco! This weekend, however, is showing some hope of me creating some more layouts. Hopefully, I have some new pages to show very soon!!

Laundry 0, Creativity 1

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Well, I finally got to play last night. I decided that the laundry could wait another day or two. Here is the what I did last night. It is not my favourite layout that I have done, but I like it. I continue to work out of my comfort zone, and I am loving it!

The thing that I am struggling with now is scrapbooking my regular photos. I have all of these great pictures of us (engagement pictures, wedding pictures, Heather’s pictures) and I only want to create with them. I started working on my Disney album at CSCFK and have had little motivation to finish it. It could just be that I am sick of looking at the extra 15lbs I am carrying around in those pictures, but I think it is because my “style” is very different with those pictures. I have a very eclectic style and right now I am not in a Disney style kind of mood. So my new goal is to finish that book!! Before I can do a page using any of my “professional” pictures I have to do two Disney layouts. Once I start doing it again I know I will get back into it, I just have to start.

A girlfriend of mine is coming over on Thursday night to make Christmas cards, so hopefully I will have lots of those to share soon!

I doubt I will have time to play in my scrapbook room tonight. I will be busy handing out goodies to all the little ghouls and goblins that come to my door. I hope everyone has a very Happy Halloween!!

Dust Bunnies 1, Creativity 0

I had such big plans this weekend to play in my scrapbook room. Unfortunately, I heard the call of the dust bunnies and spent most of the weekend cleaning the house. It’s funny how dust becomes so visible when company is coming over. I have so many ideas floating around in my head right now, I just want to lock myself in my scrapbook room and create!! I better find some time to play soon, I have to lift the fabulous Heather who is this week’s “famer” at Unpubbed!!

And since a blog post with no pictures is super boring here is a silly one of me from last weekend’s shoot with Heather.

My Mojo

Buzzcut asked what mojo was? I was pretty sure that this was a real word, though I do use a lot of made up words in everyday conversation. So, I decided to look up the real definition, and it is:

mojo
n. pl. mo·jos or mo·joes
1. A magic charm or spell.
2. An amulet, often a small flannel bag containing one or more magic items, worn by adherents of hoodoo or voodoo.
3. Personal magnetism; charm.

Sadly I didn’t find an amulet at the crop, but I did find my desire and ambition to create. I guess I was hit by a magical spell, because for the first time in a long time I feel creative! Speaking of creativity, I finished another page last night! There was a challenge on SIS to create a layout with a title with 5 or more words. For some reason this title came to me right away (I am thinking it was the mojo!).

All of the pictures on the page were taken by the amazing Heather!! I love these pictures of my hot hubby, though hot hubby does look smokin’ in almost every picture he is in. I am also, in love with this picture too (okay really I am in love with them all, and I am sure after awhile you will all get sick of seeing them). It looks like I am saying “Back of, this hottie is mine!!”.

I hope to play in the scrapbook room a fair bit this weekend, but I think housework might get in the way.

Okay, I know I am little slow jumping on the blogging bandwagon, but after almost a year of debating I decided to just go for it. To tell you the truth I registered for this blog months ago. Why now you ask??? I am not too sure. I have loved reading other peoples’ blogs for so long now I think it is time for me join in all the fun. That and I love to talk about myself ;)

So, while attending Canada’s Scrapbooking Crop for Kids in Edmonton I found my scrapbooking mojo. I am not to sure where it has been hiding all this time, but I am so glad it is back. My desk at work is full of post-its with ideas for new pages and projects. I am so pumped, I love feeling creative. Now if I only had more time to play in my scrapbook room.

Recently I have started looking at challenge blogs and found a few last week that I really liked. I did two pages for a couple of these challenges on Sunday (which is a big deal for someone who has been averaging one page every month or two) and I finally feel like my style is evolving. I worked outside of my comfort zone and I love it. I came across a new site, Scrap In Style, and posted the layouts on there. I was mega surprised (okay I almost jumped up and down and did a little dance beside my desk at work) to find that one of my layouts had been chosen for their weekly catwalk!! I have never been chosen for anything like that before, and let me tell you, it feels great.

Here are the two layouts that I am talking about. The first is the one that was chosen for SIS’ Catwalk that I did it for the OLW Challenge. The second one I did for the Unpubbed Challenge.

I just hope that my mojo sticks around for awhile, I love feeling creative!! Hopefully I have new layouts to share very, very soon!

Oh Heather, I did notice that you tagged me, but I am working on something for that ;) I hope to have it done on the weekend.
